My name is Cole Kitch, and I am a wrestler for Southern Boone County High School in Ashland, Missouri (Class of 2028). As a freshman, I competed in the 215-pound weight class and earned my first varsity letter.
Thanks to my strength, conditioning, and dedication in the weight room, I continue to grow and improve as an athlete. Going into my sophomore year, I expect to wrestle in the heavyweight division, where I look forward to competing at a higher level and testing myself against stronger opponents.
In addition to athletics, I maintain a 3.214 GPA, reflecting my commitment to academics as well as sports. I take pride in giving maximum effort every match and in being a coachable, disciplined athlete who is dedicated to improvement both on and off the mat.
Anyone who has wrestled knows that it’s the hardest thing in the world to do. Anyone who says something else is the hardest thing has never wrestled. You don’t wrestle because it’s easy. You wrestle because it’s hard. I don’t do astrophysics because it’s easy. I do it because it’s hard. And I juxtapose the two in my mind, body, and soul all the time.
